Sometimes you just have to escape the chaos of kids, the dogs, the cats, and work and getaway on an adults only Florida vacation. But where to find the perfect adults-only resort? For the ultimate fun places in Florida for adults only, our choices are St. Augustine, Miami, The Florida Keys, and St. Pete Beach.

St. Augustine, Florida: Two Fun Adults-Only Resorts

America’s Oldest City holds an allure that continues to beckon Jim & me for Florida fun. We find ourselves back in this fun and fascinating city every chance we get!

Two adults-only resorts stand out in this ancient city – The Collector Inn & Gardens and The Carriage Way Inn. Both resorts are within walking distance of the historic district.

The Collector Inn and Gardens

The Collector is one of the not-so-hidden gems of St. Augustine and is easily in our top three lodging choices when visiting St. Augustine. The Collector Inn and Gardens is an adults-only resort property.

The rooms are nicely decorated, and the beds are topped with luxurious bedding. The bathrooms are an adequate size. There is a large sitting room, with a sofa and small table, and a kitchenette.

The property offers some great amenities, including a heated pool, and an on-site indoor and outdoor bar, The Well, which serves some amazing craft cocktails. After all, you are on a quest for a fun Florida getaway, so indulge with an afternoon or late evening cocktail!

The Collector is a historic property, with a rich history. The property was once the home of the Dow Museum of Historic Houses. Don’t miss a tour of this historic property! Tours are given three day a week.

In addition, they offer valet parking, a European continental breakfast, wifi throughout the property, bicycles for a fun day of exploring St. Augustine, lawn games, and afternoon snacks.

The Carriage Way Inn

Another exclusive adults-only resort property is the Carriage Way Inn. Nestled in the heart of the historic downtown on Cuna Street, guests have off-street parking, which is a premium in St. Augustine.

There are 14 guest rooms, all unique, each with its own en suite bath. The Carriage Way Inn ticks all the boxes with its room amenities!

The beds have Serta pillow top mattresses, which just make you want to snuggle in bed all day. The linens are cool and luxurious, and individual thermostats and ceiling fans in each room are perfect for those who like us, love to sleep in a cool room.

Guests receive top-notch personal attention, including assisting guests with restaurant reservations, planning activities in the historical city, and providing a delicious breakfast each morning. Both upstairs and downstairs boast beautiful verandas, perfect for sipping your morning coffee and people-watching.

Amenities include fresh baked cookies, complimentary wine, sodas, coffee, hot tea, and bottled water, and free wi fi throughout.

Miami: Adults-Only Resorts in Florida For Fun

No trip to Florida is complete without a trip down to Miami to hang out in the trendy South Beach neighborhood. Delicious ethnic food and art deco architecture await you in Miami!

South Beach is a world-famous destination for vacationers and locals alike. The Art Deco architecture, stunning beaches, and vibrant nightlife make it one of the most popular places to visit in Miami. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you entertained.

So if you’re looking for a little bit of everything, then this Miami neighborhood ticks all the boxes for a fun Florida adults-only destination! Keep your eyes peeled ~ you never know WHO you will see in!

Located in an art deco-style building, the Julia, a small 29-room hotel packs a lot of amenities into a smaller property! This adults-only boutique property offers comfortable rooms, with beachy pops of color.

The biggest draw for The Julia is its location. Within walking distance of the Art Deco district, and the popular nightlife in the area, the hotel is ideally situated for exploring the neighborhood. The hotel is also three blocks from South Pointe Beach.

The Julia, a Boutique Hotel

The rooms are styled in a minimalist fashion and feature modern art. There is free wifi throughout the hotel, and flat-screen TVs, minifridges, and coffee makers n each room.

Complimentary free breakfast continental style buffet and evening social are standard. A bright and airy lounge filled with artwork and a sidewalk patio are nice touches in The Julia.

1 Hotel South Beach

This stunning property boasts the best rooftop pool for adults only and a stunningly gorgeous rooftop terrace! 1 Hotel is all about pampering its guests, and is our top recommendation for a fun Florida resort luxury getaway.

We’ve touched the tip of the iceberg with the amenities, so let’s dig a little deeper. One of the offerings at 1 Hotel South Beach is the full-service spa, Bamford Wellness Spa, and Anatomy, the on-site fitness center.

There are four pools to choose from, but with its stunning views, my choice is the rooftop pool! This exclusive adults-only pool is open from sunrise to sunset. Once the sun sets, the rooftop becomes party central. Miami nightlife is popping at 1 Hotel South Beach.

For those looking for a relaxing day soaking in the warm pool water, check out the Center Pool. This is a pool-sized hot tub, perfect for soaking the day away.

The Standard Miami

Another fun Florida resort for adults only is The Standard. This is an outstanding choice for travelers that want luxurious accommodation on the waterfront. Located on Belle Island in Biscayne Bay, the resort offers a full-service spa, with hydrotherapy, massage & bodywork, facials, nails, and hydrotherapy

The Florida Keys Adults-Only Resorts

There are over 150 islands, or keys, that make up the Florida Keys, but here are the five main keys: Key Largo, Islamorada, Duck Key, Marathon, Big Pine Key, and Key West. With a fun, laid-back vibe, a visit to the Florida Keys is our top choice for fun Florida places to explore.

Key Largo: Bungalows Key Largo

Bungalows Key Largo is at the top of our list for adults-only all-inclusive resorts in Florida. This exclusive oceanfront resort offers infinite adventures on land and sea. With a full-service spa offering facials, massage, and body treatments, as well as private yoga sessions, Bungalows Key Largo is the ultimate indulgence for a fun, Florida adults-only resort getaway to the spectacular Florida Keys.

Room service is available for an additional fee.

All accommodations offer a luxurious array of amenities including private outdoor verandas, 24-hour guest services, property-wide high-speed wifi, valet parking, concierge services, nightly turndown services (one of my personal favorites), and in-town transportation within a 5-mile radius of the resort.

You can choose from either waterfront bungalows or garden bungalows. The garden bungalows offer a choice of a king bed or two queens. The rooms are luxurious, and feature double pillow top mattresses, bathrobes, spa bath with rain shower, private veranda with a soaking tub (a nice touch!) and outdoor shower, flat screen TV, Keurig coffee maker, beverage cooler, microwave, steamer, in-room safe, and sitting area with queen sofa sleeper, desk, and ceiling fan.

Bungalows Key Largo is our recommendation when you are looking for a fun place in Florida for adults only place that is all-inclusive.

Islamorada: Casa Morada

Paradise is how I would describe Casa Morada, located in delightful Islamorada. This resort holds the next spot on our list of adult-only resorts in Florida. With only 16 rooms, each one uniquely decorated with a little bit of the personality of the Florida Keys.

The resort is known for its secluded luxury. So head to the beach and relax on the sun lounges, or for the water lovers, a sunset sail may be more your style. I am partial to the sail on Sol Sister – not just because Jim & I love being on the water, on a sailboat, but because Sol Sister is a 32ft Chesapeake Bay Skipjack – one of my favorite sailboat designs! As a little girl growing up in Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay, I would see skipjacks hauling fishing nets and running oyster dredges. Sol Sister can comfortably carry six passengers. Choose from a sunset sail or a daysailing adventure.

Lower Torch Key: Little Palm Island Resort & Spa

Little Palm Island Resort & Spa is an intimate, secluded, private resort on Lower Torch Key. was designed to be romantic and private. Stand-alone thatched-roof bungalows provide ambiance in all directions.

Though the resort appears to be a casual, laid-back resort, it’s also on the top end of the luxury experience scale when it comes to adults-only resorts in Florida. That luxury resort experience begins with your arrival to Little Palm Island. Each guest is treated to a unique arrival – either by boat or by seaplane to Little Palm Island Resort, your Florida paradise.

I promise you will be amazed when you step foot on the resort and are greeted with thatched roof bungalows, seemingly plucked right out of the British West Indies and put down in the Florida Keys.

Start your vacation with a spa experience at the gorgeous SpaTerre. Perhaps a massage? Or a treat with a sound therapy session with Himalayan singing bowls.

In this resort, there are no TVs or phones. It is just sheer relaxation for you. can have a private bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and sink! They also have an elegant dining room offering complimentary breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is a great place to stay for a luxurious romantic Florida getaway that is filled with beautiful scenery and privacy.
